Glendalough
SKU: MM24
Glendalough, (The Glen of two Lakes) a valley in County Wicklow is celebrated equally for its beauty and for its historical and archaeological interest. In the sixth century St. Kevin came to Glendalough in search of solitude. He lived as a hermit for many years, in time his sanctity and learning attracted many disciples to join him, to create a light of Western Civilization. The painting of the round tower and St. Kevin’s Church captures the solitude of the monastic settlement and the beauty of the surroundings glens.
